The Barbara Jean Apartments, constructed in 1927, are still being used as apartments today. They obviously have a namesake but I do not know her history. The building is on the City of Phoenix Historic Property Registry. For a back-door view and a closeup of the sign, see FKH Photo Journal.

Great picture...are you still getting out and about early in the morning? I'm off to look at the rest of the pictures.
This is a great old building and I love the way you caught those birds taking off in the corner.
That looks like a place with wonderful atmosphere.
