About Me
- Kathy
- Nacogdoches County, Texas
- I am a retired court reporter now working part time as a proofreader. In December 2010 I returned to my roots in Deep East Texas to care for my aging mother after having lived in Arizona for over 30 years. I live on a farm in Nacogdoches County near the Louisiana border. This blog is a repository for pictures of subjects that I find interesting in my travels up and down the country roads throughout the Piney Woods. I love to take pictures of farm animals and equipment, old houses, barns and sheds and anything that has vines or rust on it.

I love dilapidated barns! Great find!
this made me smile! SOOO typical Texas. :)
Very nice!! I love it!
Hard to say if it was tin on the sides from the beginning or it's the current fix up mode. :)
Nice find Kathy!
Great picture of the dilapidated barn.
Nice picture of that barn...almost looks like the woods are going to creep up and take it over!

Love the colors in this image, Kathy. The roof just pops, doesn't it? :)

This si a great old barn in a perfect setting.
That barn seems to have been there for so long it is returning to the earth! It must have a long history!

The roof seems to have outlasted the rest of the barn! Great picture! :)
it has seen better days but it's still a charmer. i also love the red roof and all that lovely rust!!
I'm always amazed how these barns are constructed from a variety of materials. great shot!
Great shot, Kathy! I love the roof and the rust. So much character!
it looks very airy! nice one!
Lots of charm here, Kathy. I'm a big fan of rusty roofs. :)
I'm beginning to discover that a lot of TX/AR barns look like this- I think because they are well-used!
This is a great old barn, love the red of the roof! Wonderful shot!
And again a nice barn shot. I love it, I can look inside! (a bit)
