I am a retired court reporter now working part time as a proofreader. In December 2010 I returned to my roots in Deep East Texas to care for my aging mother after having lived in Arizona for over 30 years. I live on a farm in Nacogdoches County near the Louisiana border. This blog is a repository for pictures of subjects that I find interesting in my travels up and down the country roads throughout the Piney Woods. I love to take pictures of farm animals and equipment, old houses, barns and sheds and anything that has vines or rust on it.

they always look SOOOO sad... :)
Not very happy looking.
Looks like this sad creature wants some assistance. Love the ears! Very good composition, Kathy.
The dropped ears kind of give a sad look.
such a beautiful sad face, even his ears are hanging down in sorrow.
Those ears make this breed of cattle look a bit sad. They have a kind of "hound-dog" look.
That is my favorite breed of cattle to photograph. Great shot!
Awww, he does look sad. Or is it she? Nonetheless, very pretty shot and nicely composed.
Ohhh, I would also stop by this cow and would talk and took a picture!
Love this picture so much! It's wonderful!
Such a sad look!
