An Alley Gate 337/365
This time a year ago I probably wouldn't have even walked down this alley in my neighborhood, much less have found anything intriguing about this gate and the peeling paint on the block fence or the way the vine drapes over the fence top.
Today's temp: 113
Today's humidity: 3 %
Here in Phoenix we call that a dry heat!

Beautiful composition Kathy, so simply, though artistic. Lovely colors and great sharpness.
Have a great weekend!
You could put a little mist around it, play the Dark Shadows theme song, and you'd have a creepy little situation. Beautiful gate. Does it open and lead to anywhere?
WOW! It sure is warm in Phoenix. I need to wave a paper fan just thinking about it.
Funny, the more you take photos the more you see beauty. :)
I know what you mean about the heat! If it weren't for the color of the block, this could be my alley gate.
I'm glad you walked down the alley this year!
That is a beautiful shot! Great thing you finally ventured into the unknown.
This is a wonderful shot for all the reasons you said. You are developing such a great eye, Kathy. Beautiful.
Nicely framed and very inviting.
