I am a retired court reporter now working part time as a proofreader. In December 2010 I returned to my roots in Deep East Texas to care for my aging mother after having lived in Arizona for over 30 years. I live on a farm in Nacogdoches County near the Louisiana border. This blog is a repository for pictures of subjects that I find interesting in my travels up and down the country roads throughout the Piney Woods. I love to take pictures of farm animals and equipment, old houses, barns and sheds and anything that has vines or rust on it.

I love the colors and the calm, peaceful look of this one!
And gray gates that invite you to enter and enjoy the tranquility...
I feel like I want to drive along that path...except I'm pretty sure I'd be trespassing. OOPS!
Very nicely framed!
Beautiful shot. Makes me want to follow the road.
That really is beautiful and so peaceful looking.
This is beautiful. I love the red dirt and the contrast.
And thank you for your kind comments :)
Another pure photo. Love it.
You must be lovin' all that GREEN. The only green here is the envy I'm getting looking at this.
What a wonderful capture!
You framed this picture wonderfully! I just want to walk down that road.
Love this! Just be sure to take your shoes off before walking on the white carpet...
I've been away from your blog far too long. Too much life going on! I remember being on this road with grandmother and grandad. Prolly even you!
