Is this barn leaning a bit to the left or is it an optical illusion? I really cannot tell. Love the glad and all the grasses around it. Hope they put some paint on the roof before too much longer. Nice capture. genie
Hi, Kathy. Thanks for coming to visit. I thought I'd also check out your barn. AMAZING!! I love that it has the American flag, and LOOK at that long tin roof! Simply wonderful. I am now a follower of yours! I love your blog. Here's to your health! Brenda
I am a retired court reporter now working part time as a proofreader. In December 2010 I returned to my roots in Deep East Texas to care for my aging mother after having lived in Arizona for over 30 years. I live on a farm in Nacogdoches County near the Louisiana border. This blog is a repository for pictures of subjects that I find interesting in my travels up and down the country roads throughout the Piney Woods. I love to take pictures of farm animals and equipment, old houses, barns and sheds and anything that has vines or rust on it.

I was thinking the same as Genie! maybe it needs a good strong, steady wind from the left to prop it up.
no kidding. i love that effect. the leaning to the left... so neat. love the coloring. (:
Very nice picture and it does look like it's leaning, probably away from the prevailing wind! LOL!!
Wow, that is one big barn.
Love the weathered wood and the painted flag.
I love that little flag!!
Beautiful and patriotic too.
that's a beauty, kathy.
What a great find! I love the flag on it!
Beautiful!! It looks like it's slowly sinking into the ground.
I see they like those big rolls of hay.
Wow, that roof, goes all the way almost to the ground! :)
i love this barn with its little flag....interesting how low to the ground it comes...wonder why they build some that way?
Looks like that barn has been around for a while!
What is it about barns that draw the photographer's eye? I don't know but, they sure are attractive.
Fantastic old barn w/ the rusted roof & the fencing... Love the flag!
Thanks so much for joining, Kathy, much appreciated! =)
Love that flag... and the Tractor Supply! ;) blessings ~ tanna
Great find. I too am drawn to the flag. It stands out on the weathered wood.
Nice barn photo.
Regards and best wishes
Looks like a great place to explore. Eventually all old barns lean and if not fixed, fall down. Brings back memories.
Love the barn!
Beautiful barn with great character! Love how someone's taken the time to decorate it :)
