Coca-Cola Brickart
This Coca-Cola ad on a brick wall was recently rediscovered a few months ago as construction crews tore down a wall while remodeling an old building in Lufkin, Texas. I haven't as yet had an opportunity to return to find out what is being done to keep the artwork, although it is my understanding that citizens have expressed wishes that it be preserved. Notice also the intricate (probably tin ceiling) that was also exposed. Click on the picture for an enlarged view.

oh, i do hope they can keep it somehow! not quite king tut's tomb, but it'll do for Texas culture!
That is something that really needs to stay. What a great find.
What a great find! I hope they can preserve it.
Wow, I sure hope they do keep it! Why in the world do we cover such things up to begin with?
Cool art! It would be interesting to find out its 'vintage' - "relieves fatigue"?
Keep us posted if you find out more about it!
The Coca-colo logo looks great on brick!
How fun it would be if the wall and ceiling could be exposed inside the new space.
Spectacular shot. I love your brickart series.
I may need a copy of this.
Hope you are well.

Neat find! I hope they're able to preserve it somehow.
What a pleasant surprise! I like the selling point they were using..."relieves fatigue". I could use some of that.
That's a terrific find! I hope they do preserve it, along with that cool ceiling.
This is a great treasure. Love tin ceilings, too.
