I understand that dandelion greens can be eaten but I have never tried them. The Mae West statue used to be at the theater in Jerome but now she stands by the door to the Flatiron building.
I am a retired court reporter now working part time as a proofreader. In December 2010 I returned to my roots in Deep East Texas to care for my aging mother after having lived in Arizona for over 30 years. I live on a farm in Nacogdoches County near the Louisiana border. This blog is a repository for pictures of subjects that I find interesting in my travels up and down the country roads throughout the Piney Woods. I love to take pictures of farm animals and equipment, old houses, barns and sheds and anything that has vines or rust on it.

wow! they look really pretty - like nature's growing bokeh. :)
I've never seen so many in one spot before.
WOW! A bumper crop!
i just spent an hour yesterday pulling dandelions from the side yard. but they are beautiful
A strong wind would take care of those "pretty fluffy" white things! Would not particularly help the adjoining property.
You could make a lot of wishes with these. Do kids still do that?

From a distance, they always look beautiful!! We might love them if we did not know they were weeds!!
One big gust of wind and there will be plenty of new dandelions.
That's a ton of them! Is that a Texas thing?
I don't recall ever seeing that many dandelions in one spot. Wow.
Wow! I've never seen so many dandelions! The air will look like it's snowing soon.:-)
