I am a retired court reporter now working part time as a proofreader. In December 2010 I returned to my roots in Deep East Texas to care for my aging mother after having lived in Arizona for over 30 years. I live on a farm in Nacogdoches County near the Louisiana border. This blog is a repository for pictures of subjects that I find interesting in my travels up and down the country roads throughout the Piney Woods. I love to take pictures of farm animals and equipment, old houses, barns and sheds and anything that has vines or rust on it.

I have never seen one before. Great color!
I don't even know how to pronounce that! It's a beauty though.
I like it! Such a pretty color and great contrast with the green.
You take the most delightful photographs Kathy. This one is exquisite and I have enjoyed catching up on all your others since my last visit.
So many pretty things I have never seen!
Thought I stop in and say hi! Just discovered you and your beautiful photos. I'll becoming by often now!
What type of plant is this...bush, vine, shrub? It's beautiful. I'm going to have to go hunting on the internet and find out more.
Lovely colour!
