Last night's storm fizzled and the morning dawned clear and bright. By noon the storm clouds were rolling in. At 5 p.m. we have rain with more expected the next four days. This picture was taken over the top of my house at 12:15 p.m. I think my palm trees look pretty against that sky.Today's News: Death toll in Haiti quake may reach as high as 200,000. Survivors are still being pulled from collapsed buildings but time is running out.
Today in History: 1935 - Coopers, Inc. sells the world's first briefs for men.
An extra note: A few days ago a local newscaster announced, "Storm clouds are brooming. More after this note from our sponsor." I blamed it on my ears, but sure enough, after the commercial break, he again reported, "Storm clouds will be brooming over the desert within the coming days."
