Glimpses of Spring

A trip to Nacogdoches last week signaled that spring is definitely on the horizon.  The pink magnolias were in full bloom.

The days are still gray and wet, even though the paper whites and the daffodils have bloomed.  Soon it will be time for the redbuds (which are really late this year), the dogwoods and the bluebonnets.  We just have to wait for them a little longer this year.  Hang in there!

somehow that tree looks especially pretty next to that blue house.

The tree is pretty as well as the house. Our flowering trees have bloomed much too early this year but seem to have made it through the freezing night temps.

the bluebonnet plants are lined up on the driveway, just waiting for sunshine to encourage them! :)

My heart went pitter-pat when I opened your post and saw that marvelous profusion of blossoms on the tree!

Wow. We don't have that here yet. There are small buds on trees, though. We got all the rain after you did. Lots of flood watches.
