I'm digging back some months to find a decent photo to post. This one resides as background on my computer screen. It's one of my favorites I took last year. There was no intention in this photograph. It just happened. And those are the best kind!
You are so right. I set up shots, I plan, I copy (did I say that lol) but the best are the once in a life time snaps that just come together. Love the white/black contrast and beauty.
I am a retired court reporter now working part time as a proofreader. In December 2010 I returned to my roots in Deep East Texas to care for my aging mother after having lived in Arizona for over 30 years. I live on a farm in Nacogdoches County near the Louisiana border. This blog is a repository for pictures of subjects that I find interesting in my travels up and down the country roads throughout the Piney Woods. I love to take pictures of farm animals and equipment, old houses, barns and sheds and anything that has vines or rust on it.

Absolutely those are the best kind, and this is an excellent one! I hope things are going well for you, Kathy!
You are right, many accidental shot turn out excellent, like this beautiful white rose.
Lovely shot Kathy!
I so agree with you that they are the best kind. :)
They are the best kind! I like it too!

Beautiful! I know its a rose, but it reminds me of a lily or iris of some kind. Wonderful catch.
