I have planted ten tomato plants in my fall garden. Four of them have blossoms. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a bountiful winter crop. Tomorrow's expected temperature of 101 should do wonders for them!
Today's News: Al Sharpton calls Sheriff Joe Arpaio a blight on Arizona’s civil rights record. Ironically enough, the comments to this piece of news on azcentral.com is all pro-Arpaio, while Sheriff Joe continues his immigration roundup tonight in the NW Phoenix Valley without the blessing of the Feds. It's a good thing my friend, Dr. Sara (no last names or addresses on this blog), Ph.D., professor at Northern Arizona University, left Phoenix today in midafternoon to return home. If she had been stopped by Sheriff Joe, she might be in jail right now.
Today in History: 1916 – Margaret Sanger founds Planned Parenthood by opening the first U.S. birth control clinic.
