I am a retired court reporter now working part time as a proofreader. In December 2010 I returned to my roots in Deep East Texas to care for my aging mother after having lived in Arizona for over 30 years. I live on a farm in Nacogdoches County near the Louisiana border. This blog is a repository for pictures of subjects that I find interesting in my travels up and down the country roads throughout the Piney Woods. I love to take pictures of farm animals and equipment, old houses, barns and sheds and anything that has vines or rust on it.

Those are some nice looking brooms.
oh, i love his colors! and my mother always had the straw brooms like this. they always swept better than those synthetic ones we buy now...
my first ever viewing of colored brooms... we still use these old straw brooms, but they are natural colors and probably not hand made like these...
I would want to buy one of his brooms. Craftsmen like this are getting hard to find.
I love those colorful ones.
I love the pretty colors! Straw brooms are the best, I've always said. Have a nice weekend!
Wow what a great shot of John! The brooms are so colorful and you have captured them so well!
Love these colorful brooms, and what a wonderful smile he has, Kathy!
WOW! I love his brooms!
I love his colorful brooms. I bought a handmade broom a while ago and it is still the best broom I have ever used.
Love his colorful brooms!
This is an absolute beautiful!
Never ever seen colored brooms. Makes one want to broom around or get on it and fly around in space on Halloween.
