Tree Hollow

While taking a walk to search out the day's photo op, Emerson spotted this hollow in a pecan tree within about 200 feet of my house. Even though I've walked past this tree hundreds of times I had never noticed the hollow. Hopefully this project will make me more observant of some of the unique things that are within such short grasp of the world around me. Our first thoughts were "Wonder what kind of critters make their home in that deep hole?"

Very cool. The hollow spot looks like a wine bottle. Perhaps it's a critter-run winery and you had no idea!
