I am a retired court reporter now working part time as a proofreader. In December 2010 I returned to my roots in Deep East Texas to care for my aging mother after having lived in Arizona for over 30 years. I live on a farm in Nacogdoches County near the Louisiana border. This blog is a repository for pictures of subjects that I find interesting in my travels up and down the country roads throughout the Piney Woods. I love to take pictures of farm animals and equipment, old houses, barns and sheds and anything that has vines or rust on it.

Great shot!
Beautiful! The sun looks as though it's shining through the birds' wings.
Nice capture!
I also like it Kathy. Good work!
Great photo...wings lit up! I really like flight shots, and this one is unusual with that light.
Brave you hanging around underneath the birds. ;) I like their golden looking wings.
I've been wanting to get a shot like this of those geese from Encancto Park that loudly fly over my house from time to time.
Are they going south?
Midweek Blues
Very nice! They look translucent. In the winter I have a handful of geese that fly over my house, but I'm never there at the right time.
You've captured the sun lighting their wings beautifully! Very striking against the blue sky.
Congrats on completing your 365 project the rose is beautiful!

wow! the light on/through their wings is wonderful
you captured them in flight so perfectly
Great shot, Kathy. Pigeons on their way to a statue, I'm sure.
